My adult daughter & I stayed at Bedarra in September & had a lovely time. We enjoyed all our meals the room was clean & everyone was so nice & friendly.
My husband & I arrived at Bedarra Beach Inn late in the afternoon and were greeted by Jetin, the evening manager. Immediately you are made to feel like you are "home". We settled into our room and went down to the restaurant for dinner. We stopped at the bar and met Vesi, a wonderful bar tender who we discussed rugby with, in particular. In the restaurant Eoke (I'm sure that's not spelt correctly) tended us most meals and his attention was wonderful. The food was fabulous. We woke the next day to see the outlook that awaited. We were stoked! We grabbed our snorkelling gear and headed across the road and jumped in. The location is amazing! We had three nights at Bedarra, prior to heading to Denarau to meet up with family and stay in one of the five star resorts there. We can honestly say that the time spent at Bedarra was "our" type of holiday - relaxing, not overcrowded, friendly and family oriented. All the staff, and I do apologise I can't remember everyone's name, were wonderful, including Roselyn the day time manager and Sheena in the day spa. Please email us your specials.......we will back! A little piece of Paradise
My husband and I recently spent 6 days at Bedarra to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We were originally selected Bedarra because it was not huge and appeared to offer the peace and quiet we were looking for.
We were not disappointed!! Bedarra is amazing. The accommodation and grounds are conducive to relaxation and fun. The rooms are fantastic, spacious and clean. No TV meant my husband and I read those long overdue books and could just talk with each other (look out!!). The little beach across the way is excellent (Bring your coral shoes) for a swim or a sleep, read, sunbathe on on the sun lounges. You can even arrange for the staff to bring over your lunch!! It was easy to venture out in to Sigatoka via taxi (about $9) if you need to and we even caught a Rugby Union game while we where there (that is something I would recommend).
We ate every meal at the restaurant there. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. If you can't find something to eat there, you are very hard to please.
Overall, if you are not up for the hustle and bustle of a big resort....I would thoroughly recommend Bedarra. If we return to Fiji I will definitely be staying there.
I was so supprised at the hotel it was spotless.
As for the rooms i could not ask for better.
The food i could not find better in melbourne for taste and value.
The staff fantastic.
A fantastic place to stay and i will be back.
Could not have asked for better
Great food, clean and tidy rooms, exceptional staff - what more could you want for a holiday?
Lachlan is six months old and loved the experience just as much as us. The staff were ready to hold him, cuddle him and entertain him. One night while we were eating, Lachlan spent the entire night serving other customers. When returned to us, he cried and did not stop until the staff had taken him back.
We felt comfortable leaving him in our large and clean room during sleeps because the pool, restaurant and beach were close enough for us to duck back over and check on him.
The cleaning staff were also accommodating - Lucy and Eleanoa would wait until he was awake to clean the room. Lachlan loved Lucy, giving her a big smile when he saw her.
I think that I would have liked this accommodation with old children also - some resorts are so big that you can't monitor them closely.
Finally Kula Ecopark is owned by the same people. Although it does not have heaps of animals, it does a great job in conserving and educating the community about the importance of conservation.
The Staff make the place
This was an excellent holiday with friendly staff who made our stay a memorable one, The Band sounded awesome, We will be back for sure, the rooms were clean and spacious, bar staff make yum cocktails, Thanks Guys we miss yous already, Vinaka very much
Good, good, good. Food, service, value!
Firstly, thanks to all the staff - even those who don\'t smile much! (You know who you are!)
A good establishment tries to get things right first time and good customer service is how you react when things don\'t go right. You get most things right and when they don\'t go right, you try to fix it.
When asked if we could move to a room with a view of the ocean we moved from a very large room in the annex to a slightly smaller one in the main building. Both rooms were perfectly clean, the showers worked excellently, as did the (very quiet) air-conditioners. The fridges made a bit more noise than I want, but I\'m a very light sleeper. Thanks for the milk to put in the excellent ground coffee!
One review on Trip Advisor said the pool was \'bath-sized\'. Obviously some idiots have very big baths! This one is a normal size for an hotel and it\'s cleaned every morning, just like the very nice patio that surrounds it.
Breakfasts, like evening meals, were very good. We stayed here 3 full days and saw no reason to eat elsewhere. We appreciate good food. We had the \'signature\' chicken curry one evening, which was excellent. Maybe not 100% authentic Indian, but the flavours were good, the quality of ingredients high and the portion size just right.
The prepared Lovo \'feast\' was an interesting mix of flavours, but was quite dry. I made this comment to the duty manager when he came round the restaurant, as he did every evening, asking if everyone\'s food was OK. With no fuss whatsoever, the price of one dinner disappeared off the bill.
A couple of other little problems we had were dealt with efficiently and, at check-out, I made the comment that I\'d never had such good Customer Service and would say so on Trip Advisor. So I did.
Don\'t go to the Bedarra Beach Inn if you want somewhere that\'s good for kids. The beach IS clean and has nice sand, but as all guides to this coast point out, under the shallow waters of the lagoon are lots of rocks. We borrowed reef shoes so we could wade out and look at the wildlife. There\'s really not much to do here, but it\'s a great place to chill out for a few days.
Great value and Amazing food
We spent 5 nights at the Bedarra in August with our two children aged 2 and 4 years. We had a wonderful time and were thrilled with the friendliness of the staff and the amazing food at the restaurant. The rooms were clean and very spacious. What we loved was the fact the hotel was smaller and more intimate. It also meant everyone knew you by name and was only too happy to help. Thank you so much.

We recently spent six nights at Bedarra and were impressed! The staff worked very hard to ensure our comfort and were extra attentive. We loved the location and found the accommodation spacious and comfortable. We would certainly recommend Bedarra Beach Inn.
